The Bay Business Association launches to empower and support local businesses
The Bay Business Association (BBA) is set to launch on 30th April with an event at the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary. The association will bring businesses together from across the Bay to provide opportunities and unite their voices to help drive meaningful change in the area, to the benefit of all.
Founded by a group of passionate and forward-thinking industry leaders, the association will serve as a hub for businesses to connect, share best practice and tackle the challenges faced in the current tough economic landscape.
Members of the association will receive a wide range of benefits including exclusive access to networking events, Island wide advertising discounts, enhanced promotional opportunities, business insights and valuable connections with a strong network of business leaders. Helping to ensure every business across the Bay area thrives. The association will also serve as the collective voice of businesses in delivery of the Bay Place Plan, a document launched last year, which sets out the strategic vision for the Bay and will act as the vessel to channel investment into Bay projects.
Open to businesses of all sizes and sectors, it will create an inclusive business community, with facilitated introductions as part of the member benefits, allowing people to connect with those that could help them most.
“Our mission is to seek out and drive opportunities for Bay businesses that help them to thrive. In a tough field of operations currently, collaboration is key to unlocking such opportunities and creating the momentum needed for significant change” said the associations chair, Lawrence Bates. “We are really excited to meet with businesses at the launch event, tell them about the work already done and get their input and ideas for the future, to shape this association into an organization that benefits all”
Although the Bay area is defined as running from Yaverland through to Luccombe and extending 1km inland, businesses from across the Island are encouraged to join, to build up a larger network of support, and all are invited along to the launch event to find out more.
Ensure your business doesn’t miss out by joining us at the launch event on 30th April at the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary and finding out what the BBA could do for you.
